Progress on Main Site- Museums at Mitchel

Today the Long Island Children's Museum is open at the West end of the complex while the Cradle of Aviation Museum, IMAX Theater, and Visitor Services in the Reckson Center are open on the East end.  Inside of the Reckson Visitor Center, on the Third Floor, "LIMSAT Hosts the Long Island Technology Hall of Fame" is open in an early stage as a wall of commemorative plaques.

In November 2003, LIMSAT began the capital campaign for Phase II operations, which is to include a Main Exhibit Hall demonstration site in the building adjoining the Reckson Visitor Center on the west side.
The multi-story building for LIMSAT is to be completed later in Phase III of the Mitchel Field project.
